In order to make your videos look cinematic and to get persuaded to make videos and to be offered money, you have to overcome three problems:

1. being cack-handed (you don't stand out from the crowd)
2. You don't have support and a creative environment
3. No one knows about you.

Read on, and I'll tell you how to deal with each of them.

Problem #1 being cack-handed ❌

This is the hardest hurdle, as no one wants to learn filmmaking thoroughly these days. After all, do you also think you have to go to university or be super talented to do it? Actually, it's a lot easier and quicker.

And the other side of the coin: current trends. It's not hard to learn them, but if there's no foundation underneath that knowledge, they will crumble the first time a trend changes.

The paradox of "being cack-handed" is that you don't understand where you need to apply " basics" and where you need to apply "trends".

It's not enough to google "video editing courses", watch a couple of tutorials on how to work in some free app and become a filmmaker.
No, you're still a cack-handed.

The paradox of being a cack-handed.

Here are a few mistakes that aspiring filmmakers can make:
1. Shooting in "Auto" mode.
2. Buy stabilisers to take the shake out of the video
3. Shoot mindlessly and then try to get creative in post-production.
4. Don't work with composition and layout
5. Create videos "out of their head", without using references
6. Make pointless videos, without dramaturgy
7. Use trend transitions without basic knowledge

But I beg you, first learn how to shoot so that the outcome is a Dior video, and only then add meanings and effects to the video.

You have no idea what a BIG problem this is for all beginners...

Start small, draw a storyboard. It can look as cheesy as possible, but it'll be at least a visual blueprint of your filming and future editing. This is what the first storyboards of students look like (don't be too scared, they're not professionals)

And this is what a storyboard from our project looks like. This is what I will be teaching in my course.

I spend a lot of time on editorial thinking. It's when you can virtually edit a video in your head that you haven't even shot yet.

It's a skill that requires a lot of mental work (which not everyone is capable of, actually) as well as serious experience in staging.

In short, the skill is not easy. But it is very useful. It allows you to make a storyboard for a project.

First of all, it is previsualization. The storyboard makes it easier to explain oneself to a team and a client.

In the second place, it is almost a ready-made shooting plan. With it, you are not bound by the chronology of the shoot. For instance, we shot the first three shots and the last one first. This allows you to condense the shooting and not worry about forgetting to shoot something - the storyboard will always tell you.

Problem #2. You have no support and no creative environment ❌

Be honest, how many times have you wanted to change your life? How many times have you written goals for the year but they failed? How many times have you said "start tomorrow" and tomorrow never came?
Photograph: Lee Scott / Unsplash

It will be the same with filmmaking!

Unless you find someone else who says: "Tomorrow at dawn we're going to shoot a model I know, there's a new collection by a famous designer".

You can't make sense of this world on your own! You definitely need a mentor/teacher and some equally crazy people. Then you will 100% be able to overcome the incredible couch attraction.

Once you see the result of your suffering, you will be filled with a completely different energy! The energy from the video you shot will fill you up so much that you won't be able to leave it inside and start tackling a new project.

And when you get paid your first money for the video, it will be the most incredible money of your life! You definitely need to experience this with someone who understands the value of these accomplishments.

Now imagine telling all this to your cat who is just waiting for you to give him the crunchy food. That's where everybody'll get upset...

But there is another way.

The path of the creative community, where everyone understands what the beginner's path is.

When there is someone better than you and someone worse than you. When there is an overall level that is HIGHER than YOU. In that case, you'll automatically be climbing new steps on your creative journey.

Find a community of crazy people just like you, then you'll move mountains together!

"How can you do it if there's nothing to shoot?"
What do you mean, nothing? Ah, you just don't know how to solve the next problem yet...

Problem #3. Nobody knows about you.

"I'm not making a video yet, that's why they don't know!"

I've got bad news: they'll never know about you... Because just posting your work on your Instagram page isn't enough.

Even by running your commercial, you won't be able to get new clients.

Because:
The only workable way for a filmmaker to advertise is through recommendations.

Radio in a sundress: "With me you're not afraid of anything"

The trouble is, your income depends directly on how many people know about you and that you're a filmmaker.

The good news is that you don't need 30.000 subscribers: if your videos are professional enough and are seen by the right people - sales will be there even with small views.

But word of mouth, like any other source of traffic, has to be launched correctly and you have to learn how to work with it.
What matters is NOT how many people watch you, but WHO these people are.

And the best part is that you don't need many new clients! The whole secret to success in sales, is LONG-TERM COOPERATION!

Trust me, no one wants to look for a new filmmaker for every shoot. It's a big risk and headache. If you have basic knowledge and haven't screwed up on set, they'll call you next time.

You just have to negotiate right with the client. Create an offer that would be a shame to refuse! And then you don't even care about social media.
"So you can't do social media at all, can you?"
You can. If you can afford $2,000 or $3,000 a month. I have a lot of students who are just introverts. They don't like to go on storis, engage with their brand. They just find 3-5 clients using my methodology on a permanent basis and work 3-4 days a week.

Screenshot describing Dasha's working day

But even for such results, you need to make yourself known in the right way. Make sure that recommendations are triggered and that you are trusted. But to do that you need to make a good offer. That's what we'll talk about next.

I often ask my students about the purpose of their studies: creativity or commerce? And everyone answers that creativity, but if you can make money on it, it will be great!

Understand one important thing:
If you don't have commercial orders, you won't be able to develop creatively!
But I've got one little "secret" for you: to combine creativity and commerce... more about that next!

What do you need to shoot to get maximum demand?
Just reels, friends. A very simple answer. It's a golden time for filmmaking!

It's a golden time for filmmaking!
I beg a second time: don't confuse filmmaker and reelsmaker!!!

Cool reels aren't the ones you see on Instagram, with lots of ads and tutorials on how to do this or that effect. And these are not crooked videos shot on a $20 phone.

Learning how to shoot reels is not an end in itself. It's just the format that's most in demand at the moment.
Let's break down why:
1. Reels are needed by the customer all the time.
2. it's a super short format
3. it's an interesting creative challenge
4. New trends all the time
5. Easy entry
6. Entry to big projects

So, what do we have...
The algorithm "10 first steps for a filmmaker from beginner to PRO" is just 4 key elements:
1. Achieve a perfect " Cinematic picture " in your shots
2. Learn to think editorially
3. find a strong creative environment
4. Create a system of creative and commercial development

And here's how you should go about it:
1. Like-minded people.
These can be either beginners or advanced filmmakers. They should be passionate about filmmaking and light a fire in you!

The cameraman and the fire inside him. 2.

2. An ideal cinematic picture.
There are enough basic things here: composition, lay-out, dynamics, exposure. It's not important what you're shooting with, it's HOW you're shooting. I hope you've already understood that from the works of our students shot with simple smartphones. And of course, the most important thing in making a cinematic picture is PRACTICE and constant feedback.

The cameraman looks into the camera and his saliva is dripping.

3. editorial thinking.

This is what differentiates us from photographers. We create a film, not static pictures. You have to learn the 10 principles of editorial thinking, which were invented in the early days of cinema in Russia, and which are studied in all film schools all over the world.

The cameraman looks at the scribbled paper: "Is this my storyboard at all?"

4. creative and commercial development.
This is something you have to think about at the very beginning of your creative path. If you get your positioning right, the new client becomes a fan and works with you all the time from now on. Here it's simple: firstly, it's beneficial for him/herself; secondly, you and your creativity have already "fallen in love" with him/her.

The client says to the operator "I love you!"

And the cherry on the cake...

My algorithm "10 First Steps for a Filmmaker from Beginner to PRO" allows you to gain quickly the extensive professional filmmaking skills you need for a strong start in the industry. And it's not some creative editing from a no-name blogger. These are the basics that make customers' jaws drop! Without years of study, nerdy theory and huge investment in technique.

I call this column "What if..."
What if I'm a complete zero at video shooting?
Actually, that would only be a plus for you.

Why is that?

Because your head isn't littered with mistakes.

All you have to do is:
1. Pick up your phone.
2. Start filming and editing
3. Get competent comments and correct mistakes

What if I already know the base, have filmed on both my phone and camera? Am I learning something new?
If you now shoot commercials like this level, you have clients all over the world, then you do not learn anything new.

Hotel collage video

What if I don't know what I want to shoot?

Trust me, no one does. Especially at the beginning of the journey.

How do you know what you like if you haven't even tried it yet?

But you can always start. Appetite comes with food. We all do.

Especially since your preferences can and should change all the time. One day you like fashion, the next day you like to shoot cool cars. It's natural and fine, don't be afraid!

The good news is that my knowledge from the algorithm "10 first steps for a filmmaker from beginner to PRO" will be useful to you in any specialization.

What if I don't have a professional camera?
What do you need it for? No, I'm serious: you're just learning. Do you have to buy a yacht to learn how to tie sea knots? No. It's exactly the same. Start with a phone! 80% of our students take our course with just a phone. They use it to do the editing. And it turns out great!

Just look at this reel.

It was shot on a Huawei.

What if I've never done anything creative before?
I used to be a programmer.
And here's a list of our students' professions that have dared to become filmmakers:
- Digital Manager.
- Economist
- Financial analyst
- Student
- Tax manager
- Customs Declaration
- Balloon decorating
- Actress
- Maternity leave
- Personal trainer
- Health care professional
- Housewife
- Hairdresser
- Engineer
- Smm
- Librarian
- Blogger
- Primary school teacher
- Photographer
- Copywriting, journalism

As you can imagine, this list could be stretched to infinity. The algorithm "10 first steps for a filmmaker from beginner to PRO" has been tested on HUNDREDS of students. And it has proven to be effective.

And once again. If you've got the question in your head, "Is this too hard for a complete novice filmmaker?"

If you want to be a filmmaker, you can do it!

If Vika, a mum of four, could do it, so can you. Here is her video:

Reels to the Beat

What if I don't get many clients?
I don't have many either. Does it matter? Not at all...

What's more: if you don't get many clients, it means you don't have a long-term relationship with them. You only need 3-5 clients. And even with that number you won't have time to shoot that many...))

Basically, you won't even need Instagram.

You don't need anything at all. Our system is built on the best marketing which is recommendations. You'll still have people ordering videos from you.

And you know why they will?

Because your skills as a filmmaker will open their mouths. All you have to do is show off your skills and that's enough.

What if I start learning from free lessons on YouTube?
Yeah, you can find lessons in both filming and editing. You can somehow master the editing software or your camera settings. You might even be able to shoot something trendy.

But how about finding competent and structured lessons on film-making on YouTube? It's practically impossible. There are only "Tricks" and "Life Hacks".

And is it possible to learn something without a teacher? Who's going to check what you've filmed? Who are you going to ask point/target questions to?

No one. You will be left alone with some simple problem.

Do you seriously want to single-handedly master the world's most complex and creative profession?

Well, only if there's a community of filmmakers in your town who are willing to work with you once a week to sort out your trivial questions about how to glue two videos together))

In this situation, it's a waste of time, nerves and energy to learn filmmaking on your own.

And finally, a big question...

Where do I start?
If that thought popped into your head, click on the button below...

Most beginners never become filmmakers, even with a huge desire to do so.
Why do you think that is?
Just think of a picture like this: "You decided to build a house and you started building from the roof!"

Not from the foundation, not from the blueprints, but from the roof! That's weird at the very least, isn't it?

That's the mistake a lot of aspiring filmmakers make. That's why their creative desires are crushed by their "as common as muck" videos.

Not having important basics, they try to do something frantically: they buy expensive tutorials, study editing, download a bunch of different applications with effects on the phone, buy a stabilizer, shoot gigabytes of video on holidays and then put off editing for 2 years...

WHY?

A picture of a foundation

Imagine you have the complete "10 first steps for a filmmaker from beginner to PRO" algorithm at your fingertips.

You know how to shoot, how to edit and what you need to shoot to become an in-demand filmmaker. That is, the whole path is as transparent as possible.

✅ You know how to set up your phone/camera to shoot.

✅ You know how to shoot clearly so that every shot is perfect.

✅ You know exactly how to edit your video beautifully and quickly.

✅ You know exactly what to do to get your first, second and tenth client.

And there's plenty more "you know" like that.

You will have a detailed mind-map on hand with answers to the "what to do and in what order" questions

Picture plan.
The best thing I can offer you is ...
Walk you 'By Your Hand' through the path of a real filmmaker NOT a VIDEO GRAPHER and help you get started so that you yourself get goosebumps from your first videos.

Teach you everything that allows me to travel around the world, make awesome videos, meet interesting people and really get high out of my life!

Arrows
And here's our strategy
WorkShop

I am opening you access to the intensive "10 First Steps for a Filmmaker from Beginner to PRO" - 3 lessons
Lesson 1: "Equipment Selection and Shooting" Lecture

Content:
- Top 10 phones and cameras for video
- Setting up your phone for a perfect picture
- What equipment would allow you to shoot and edit like GOD
- Manual camera settings for video
- Handheld shots like an expensive stabilizer
- How to shoot video specifically, not photos that come to life
- 3 key rules of composition for shooting vertically

The result after the first lesson:
You'll finally get the hang of your gear and how to set it up. Understand how to shoot handheld without using any stabilizer, but for a dynamic picture. If you have had experience in photography, you will clearly understand the difference in technique between photo and video. And you'll learn how to shoot professionally in vertical mode

Lesson 2: " Editing, Processing and Dramaturgy" lecture

Content:
- Coaching the editorial thinking
- 5 Principles of Film Editing
- Film Color Grading and Color Grading on your computer and your phone
- Rules of attaching two adjacent frames, which videographers do not know
- Film dramaturgy that works in video
- Triggers, hooks and psychological impact through video

The result after the second lesson:
You'll start to think editorially, which means you won't be shooting a ton of video to make a one-minute video now. And you'll start thinking like a filmmaker, adding meaning that makes your videos come through and stick around to be seen again. And you'll understand the basics of cinematic colour grading. All materials will also be duplicated in PDF for your convenience.

Lesson 3: 'Roadmap'.

Content:
- Breaking down the basic mistakes in video + tips
- The hottest trends in filmmaking
- Pricing in your region/starting conditions/skills
- What you need to offer the client to make them feel stupid for not working with you, even if you are a beginner
- Practical exercise

Result:
Drawing up an individual development plan for 3 months. You'll have a detailed mind-map at your disposal with answers to the questions "what to do and in what order".

On top of that, I will equip you with the right materials:

Visualization

But there's a BUT.
There are only 50 places available in the workshop.

No, this is not a marketing trick. There are really only 50 places available.

I have a SUPER small team.

And so, in order to provide all participants with the best possible feedback, I cannot make 700 places.

Rather, it is a 'for the close' offer.

I am well aware that it is a very small number. And it's likely that these seats will sell out like hotcakes.

So, the only advice I can give you is to act fast. Act now!

And this is what you end up with:
A recording of all 3 days of the workshop.

Access to all the templates, checklists, mind maps.

Your ticket to a new life
Only $199
Take a seat.
Yes, yes, I know it must cost more.
And that's why I only put the price at $199.
I'm sure I can teach you about film-making in a clear and simple way. And that means you can change your life with my help and stay to learn from me further.

So my direct interest is to share a really cool workshop with you on a dime to build our relationship.

So that you'll start trusting me, and telling your friends where and from whom you learned to shoot so cool.

It's not some silly mini-course from another blogger: sell it and forget it.

It's not a $10,000 "pig in a poke" from some no-name videographer.

The algorithm "10 First Steps for a Filmmaker from Beginner to PRO" is a complete product in its own right.

The only reason for its low price is that I want to build a trusting relationship with you.

"What about guarantees?"
Let's agree at once: I'll give it my best, and I'll give the best of what I know.

But if, for some reason, you don't like something (even my voice) - I'll give you 100% money back within 3 days.

To do this, just email me, explain the situation and attach your details.

I will refund you 100% of your payment without any hidden terms.

Agree, such "risks" are nothing with the potential benefit you will definitely get!

In my mind, this is what a great service and cool product should look like.

"That's interesting, but I'm in the middle of another training/vacation/receiving myself."
I know exactly what you mean. But to date, I'm the only one offering my students live internships in Dubai.

Very ordinary people right now are studying in my courses, shooting and editing, suffering and rejoicing, sad and celebrating. Their life has become different. It didn't become amoebic, it became more INTERESTING! And right now, I'm live shooting some cool fashion project in Dubai with someone.

Life has changed.

And it's all because it's the golden age of FILM Makers not videographers.
But it won't always be like this...
Perhaps the video format will fade into the background again, and it will become impossible to get clients so easily.

In some time will pass, places will run out, and we will close this site. And there will be no more such offer. This is, you could say, an experiment. Whoever had time is in business.

So, if you want to skim off the cream, you have to act now.

I'M SORRY, BUT I'M NOT SELLING TO YOU.
I'm doing well with work and money. I have a lot of shoots: 3-5 a week. So I choose who I work with and who I don't. Yes, I like my life. You want to do the same, join in!

But

❌ I DO NOT WANT to see people who are constantly just dreaming, discussing and doing NOTHING;

❌ I DO NOT want ungrateful people who are always demanding and demanding and getting nothing done;

❌ I DO NOT want to see people who make up 1001 excuses just to not do;

I'm sure you're not that kind of a person. Since you're here, I'm happy to help you.

But if you suddenly recognize yourself above, then close this page. Alas, you don't belong in our community. And you'll probably fail at the interview.
